Doing it like you mean it The opportunities to display warmth and affection towards people close to our lives through our greeting on their special occasions are small but precious joys of life. Unfortunately, these too have been arrogated by technology. So, be it a birthday or an anniversary or a festive occasion, technology and social media tools forces us to do it in ways where it does not feel like we mean it. Geetha Pisupati is on a mission to change it in her own way. A gifted artist, she designs and produces customised hand-made cards for all special occasions. You can then hand write your special message on it and posit it! These cards are simple, elegant and beautiful. But most importantly, my recipients know that I mean it when they hold it in their hands. You see, it arrived by post, was handmade, hand written and addressed to them! The cards Geetha created, upon my request, are works of art. The occasion was special - my sister's 60th. The card commemorated this very special moment with art, craft and emotion. Personal and professional. Talking over this with Geetha, i was motivated to request for a post-event card for my nephew's 18th which turned out to be totally delightful, and fully reflected who he was. Mother and son loved their cards. As did I. Thank you, Geetha. And, she did them in real quick time.

It was thoughtful, hand crafted, and full of surprises. It was then that i learnt about the craft work of Geetha Pisupati. It seemed like a lot of work went into researching my interests and tastes and in customizing the card accordingly. Every part of the card was intricately put together and had something thoughtful to say. As artefacts to treasure, her cards are a testament to their true meaning--as those valuables that are never meant to be dis-carded.
